SoCal Fires

We received a few emails inquiring if the fires are anywhere near us. Yes they are, but we are just fine where we are at the present time. The planes are flying right over us dropping water on the mountains adjacent to us. But from what I've been gathering from the news, with the winds blowing from the north we should be safe unless there is a shift in the winds, as the fires are just southwest of us.

There is another fire burning near Lake View Terrace, that's farther southeast from us, about 20 minutes from us, but we are in absolutely no danger of that one.

It seems it's routine for us to have fires every October for the last 5 years. Hopefully the winds will calm down and give the fires a chance to burn out and no one gets hurt or lose their homes.
