Changes at Soap Silly Bath & Body

Wait? It is Wednesday, right? haha

Some of you may have noticed some changes taking place at Soap Silly.

We are slowly, yet surely changing over our site. The changes were due in part by our new shopping cart. Unfortunately, the shopping cart did not support the older version of the Soap Silly site, so we've had to make some changes.

We are testing out some backgrounds so don't worry if you see blue swirlies one day and then something else the next! :-)

You can still see the older version and we are doing our best in keeping up with the newer items on the older site until the transition is complete.

But don't worry, we hope to have it completed by the end of the month!

We are also updating the images on our site to reflect better and more appealing product images.

We really appreciate your patience during this "remodel", so to speak.

So why did we change the shopping cart you ask?

Well, the newer cart will reflect better and more accurate shipping charges. At the moment it shows a flat rate of $9.50. (You may think, eek, why so much? Well, we typically ship flat rate USPS which is $8.10 then we include insurance, thus so much). But...since USPS is increasing their rates again next week, we need to add a better shipping system. We have been testing the waters with FedEx and so far have been very pleased.

So, once the site is complete, you will see better shipping charges that will accurately reflect the items in your cart. So shipping will be based on weight and shipping zones.

The shipping rates may not be added until this summer though. So please bare with us.

Also, if you are thinking of placing a small order, such as lip balms, please, feel free to email your order or call us and we will manually adjust shipping for you to reflect the smaller order.

Another reason we upgraded the shopping cart was because of the features it offered. Such as wholesale. Now our wholesale clients will be able to log into their account assigned to them. No more placing orders via phone, email or fax! It can all be done online now.

Also, our blog will be changing pretty quickly here too.

Along with a few other nifty features, we really look forward to the new look, features and with providing you with a better experience overall at Soap Silly.
